A Happy Blonderson Christmas

The Blondersons had a fantastic Christmas together. This year, Little, Dorothy, and I all tied with exactly one cry each for the Crying Tally. Actually, Little and Dorothy cried BEFORE they got to Ma and Pa's, so you could technically say that I won because I was the only one that cried for reals. My back hurt, so I was kinda b*tchy over Christmas. So I felt bad about it and cried. But only for a little bit. I tried REALLY hard to be nice, but I was pretty snappy. I can be such an a$$hat sometimes. Oh well. I'm sure I wasn't as bad as I imagine myself to be.

Anyway, Little LOVED the Cattery. Every five minutes, she wanted to play with it. Do you want to play Cattery with me? Can I go play with the Cattery? I was so touched. I let her take everything out and put it all back in and rearrange it to her heart's content. The kittehs had a fabulous time:

We even located Chicago Cousin's two Siamese kittehs to show her:

On Christmas proper, Furby took over. I don't care what anyone says about Furby, I LOVE HIM. Well, her. This is Furbina, which I got for Little:

Little also got a real American Girl from Grandma and Grandpa. She and Erin got all dressed up:

Later in the day, I found Erin 2 sleeping in her little coffin box under the blanket I crocheted for Little. I made 3 blankets and 3 pillows for Little to take home:

As for moi? Well, whenever I'm single, I get myself a present. This year, my parents and I split an iPad2. I AM SO HAPPY! I bought it a few months ago, and it's been sitting in the back room at my parents' house. It's been torture. But now? It's ready to go:

I bought Pa this little helicopter:

And totally randomly, Dorothy bought Beloved a helicopter, too:

Sadly, Pa's didn't work, so we sent it back and ordered one like Beloved's for him. My parents have a super tall peaked ceiling with beams, so the house is perfect for flying. I plan on organizing a competition for the men the next time Beloved is in town. The childlike joy on their faces was priceless.

Dorothy made me a fabulous Nook holder and then bought me a TON of kitchen items from her favorite Goodwill. This piece was awesome. We actually used it:

The cousins came over for the traditional Christmas Blonderson Game Night. Beloved made us our very own pictionary. I kept time:

Little and I took our annual Christmas Napping photo:

Maggie came inside for petting:

And speaking of kittehs, Gretchen and Webster got new toys:

And Dorothy made this incredible scratcher for my furbabies. THEY LOVE IT:

But my very favorite gift of all was this little necklace from Little. She picked it out all by herself, which touched my crusty black heart:

Everyone is gone, but it will be OK because Kira just showed up! MORE COUSINS! YAY!

I must admit though... I miss Furbina.
